How is your ActionDoll made?

From your photo to a finished action figure — step by step.

1. Place your order

Start by completing the order form in our webshop:

• Upload a clear, high-quality portrait or full-body photo
• Enter the name you’d like printed on the packaging
• Choose your accessories
• Place your order — production begins after payment is confirmed

2. Creating the 3D model

Using your photo, we create a base 3D model with the help of artificial intelligence.
This model is then manually refined by our team:

• Adjusting posture and proportions
• Cleaning and optimising the model for 3D printing
• Preparing the figure and accessories for production

This step ensures the figure is both accurate and printable.

3. 3D printing

The figure and accessories are produced in our workshop in Budapest, using premium-quality resin and PLA.

• Figure height: approx. 15 cm (classic action figure scale)
• Accessories are printed separately and displayed in individual compartments

Printing is a precise process and typically takes 2–6 hours per figure.

4. Post-processing

After printing, all parts go through careful post-processing:

• Cleaning in isopropyl alcohol
• UV post-curing for strength and durability
• Manual deburring and sanding of all surfaces

This step ensures a smooth, high-quality finish.

5. Hand painting

This is where the figure truly comes to life.

Each ActionDoll is painted entirely by hand:

• Priming, colouring and fine detailing
• Custom face, hair, clothing and shoe colours
• A final protective varnish for long-lasting appearance

Hand painting typically takes 3–6 hours per figure.

6. Custom packaging

The finished figure is placed into a collector-style blister package, inspired by classic action figures:

• Custom-printed background graphics
• The requested name displayed on the packaging
• Figure and accessories arranged in a clean, stylish layout

7. Careful packing and shipping

Once complete, your ActionDoll is:

• Placed into protective packaging
• Carefully packed to ensure safe delivery
• Shipped to you by courier
